| I know I look a hot mess. I had just gotten back in from the gym. |
All jokes aside, I did get in a good work out. I burned 567 calories in 54 minutes. I did a 10 minute warm up on the treadmill then I did intervals on the elliptical for the rest of the time, increasing and decreasing resistance.
Today I weighed in at 247.2 so I lost 3.8lbs since last Monday. A good number but I weighed less yesterday so it's a tad bit disappointing. I do feel like I snacked a little more this weekend than I should have. Nothing terrible though. I'm still proud. :)

ReplyDeleteGreat workout...but too funny, I could actually visualize the competition between you guys. I feel you with the snacking. Since I'm on this no meat/no flavored water thing, I'm more hungrier than usual. I've been snacking on yogurt mixed with 100% natural granola. I just bought $10 worth of yogurt and a $3 box of granola and mix it myself..try that because I get really full with the granola added. I need me one of those machines..I hear many great reviews. Keep up the good work Nikki...you can do it..
ReplyDeleteLOL at Swangage. I too have been wanting/needing to lose weight, but since becoming a mom there went my gym time. But I will hopefully get back in there one day. Since no time for they gym I have started to make better food choices. I didn't eat many fresh fruits or vegetables. I could eat them no prob if someone prepared them for me. I got a juicer and started juicing my fruits and vegetables and suprisingly it taste great (looked ugly, but taste great). The juicer removed the pulp of the fruit/vegg which I ended up throwing in the trast. This weekend I put the raw fruit/vegg into a blender (Ninja) w/a little orange juice and ice and made a "smoothie". I must say I liked that too. I aslo made a visit to a nutritionist and got some useful info. She gave me a couple websites to log my food intake to keep track of calories/carbs/fat/protein
ReplyDeletefitday.com or sparkpeople.com Just changing the way I eat I have lost about 15lbs. I drink mostly water, eat lots of salads for lunch and make parfaits for snacks using fresh fruit and Kashi cereal instead of granola.
Good Luck with your journey.

ReplyDeleteHey, Nik
ReplyDeleteTracking your calories will help you to see exactly what you're eating. I use a feature on livestrong.com called MY Plate. Keep your fiber levels up, water intake high, and sodium intake low.

ReplyDeleteDearest Nik,
ReplyDeleteI just wanted to pose the question. Are you setting up any emotional support or supplements that will help you through any weightloss lows? Example, when/if your weight loss starts to plateau or if you hit a mental block with the eating and stress triggers a setback with your nutrition? I'm asking because I would like to share some info with you that helped me tremedously when I found myself battling weight loss and truly believe that it will add to your efforts emotionally and with an all-natural, commonsense approach to resetting your mind.
I hope this messages reaches you at the right time, so inbox me if you are curious.
So excited for you!
Pony swanging battle.....that just made my night! lol...pretty funny.
